James H. Hanson, M.D., Assistant Medical Director
Dr. James Hanson works at REACH as Associate Medical Director. He is currently Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Kaiser, Oakland. Prior to this, he worked as the Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children's Oakland. Dr. Hanson was a clinical professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, instructing courses in Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. Hanson received his BA in biology at the University of California at Berkeley, his M.D. at Kansas University Medical Center and did his pediatric internship at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
